Coverage
Sub-Zero Coverage, Tacoma and the South Sound
Soft city water, hard water and well water each send an ice fault down a different path, so this list is sorted by what comes out of your tap, not by the map. Find your town, then read its page before you call.
Tacoma Water in the city
Tacoma and Ruston
Green River water, with city wells added most summers and falls. By the utility's account it is softer than hard water.
District and town systems
West: Chambers Bay to Gravelly Lake
Several water systems share this side of town. Which one feeds the house decides the first check.
City, community or private well
Across the Narrows
Over the bridge the tap may be city water, a small community system or a well of your own.
Several systems
East: the valley and the plateau
Town by town, a different utility. Know the name on your water bill before you call.
Town by town
North edge and Vashon
Each town answers the water question its own way, and Vashon is reached only by ferry.
Browns Point and Dash Point are covered on the Northeast Tacoma page. A town missing from every panel is not on the route; ask on the phone before booking.

Fridge side had crept to 51 degrees overnight with a full freezer riding on it. Stalled evaporator fan. He had the motor on the van and it was back at 38 before he left.

Standing water under the cabinet every morning and no ice at all. The pump had seized and the drain was backing up behind it. New pump, and he levelled the unit while he was there.

Freezer had drifted to 15 degrees and the ice cream was soft. Turned out to be a thermistor reading wrong, not the board another shop wanted to replace. Done in one visit.
