What we take on
The ice maker inside a built-in refrigerator or freezer, the undercounter ice machine, and everything that feeds them: the inlet valve, the filter, the supply line and, on an undercounter machine, the drain. Beyond ice, the same visit covers compartments that run warm, doors that will not seal, and Sub-Zero wine storage.
What we leave to others
Commercial refrigeration is not our work: restaurant reach-ins, walk-in boxes and RV fridges go to specialists in those. Nor are other makes. Plumbing beyond the valve that feeds the unit belongs to a plumber, and new wiring to an electrician. Where a fault turns out to be theirs, you are told so and why.
How the money works
The $89 visit pays for the trip and the whole diagnosis, and once you approve the repair that $89 is deducted from its price.
Nobody names a repair figure over the phone. After the diagnosis you get one figure for parts and labour, taken from the six published price bands, and no part is ordered or fitted until you have agreed it.
Visits run 8 am to 8 pm, Monday through Sunday. The phone is answered 24/7, so an ice maker that floods at midnight can be booked at midnight.
Who you are dealing with
Sub-Zero Repair Tacoma has been repairing Sub-Zero equipment in Tacoma since 2019. We hold a licence, a bond and insurance, and the licence number goes to any customer who asks for it.
