How Long Until Ice Returns After a Filter Change?
The short answer
Allow a full 24 hours, then tip the first bucket of ice into the sink, because Sub-Zero has you throw it away to clear air from the line.
Check in this order
- Reset the filter indicator as your model asks; on a Classic BI, hold the reset button for five seconds.
- Tug lightly on a push-in cartridge to prove it clicked home; a twist-in never clicks, so turn it clockwise until it seats.
- Discard the first full bucket after a twist-in change, or the first two containers of ice after a push-in change.
- Pour away several glasses from a dispenser, and reopen the valve on the water line if it was closed for the swap.
